The typical property purchased by SDHOMES is in need of extensive renovation. When purchasing a property we are very flexible with the seller’s time frame, and we usually pay all the closing costs of the sale. This option is great for someone who does not want to deal with the burden of a remodel or someone who just wants to move forward very quickly (often a sale can close within only a few days). Because of our size, volume of deals, and resources; SDHOMES has the entire process streamlined and is extremely efficient. With an affiliate company as the General Contractor to complete the remodel work and its Real Estate sales handled in house, there are no profits or commissions that need to be covered; these savings allow for a profit to the company while still paying a strong price making the seller’s bottom line virtually unchanged…and at the same time not dealing with any of the hassles of remodeling and selling their home…there is A LOT of value to an easy deal!

We purchased this three-story, ten thousand square foot building and have completed an extensive renovation throughout. In completing such a major remodel on our Corporate Office, our goal was to leave the “SDHOMES Stamp” that we strive to provide on all of our rehab/reposition properties. In addition it was important to us to provide an unmatched workplace for our agents and staff not to mention an amazing, comfortable place to meet with our friends and clients. The building has three kitchens, five bathrooms, a great room with bay views designed to entertain, three conference rooms, a full gym, and enclosed garage parking. 14 Offices and numerous work areas on our second floor are available for lease, and our real estate and construction operation utilizes the entire third floor.
Meet the Owners
Louis Scotti entered the Real Estate business in 2002 right after graduating from SDSU with a business degree and quickly became a Top Agent in San Diego with over 50 million in sales while practicing. In 2005, He started a real estate company with business partner, Tim Barzal. Now they own several companies including SDHOMES, Center Build, and various LPs and LLCs which own property. Louis is long time member of La Jolla Golden Triangle Rotary Club. His interests include cars, skiing/snowboarding, dirt bike riding, and family trips with his wife and two kids.

Tim Barzal entered the Real Estate business in 2003 right after graduating from USD with a business degree. Tim gained valuable experience working for a well-respected firm in San Diego and learned the apartment syndication business. In 2005 Tim and Louis began syndicating several multimillion dollar apartment deals, some have been sold and some are still currently owned. Tim’s interests include taking trips and spending time with his wife and three children, fishing with his son and hunting with his father.
Since the formation of partnership in 2005 Louis Scotti and Tim Barzal have rapidly grown their business to a company that has bought and sold over $60,000,000.00 worth of real estate. In addition to the Real Estate sales people that are part of the organization, there is a staff of 25 full time employees that make the entire system run very successfully.
